On April 12, a briefing session on the summer program in Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI)for this August was held on our campus, attended by about 50 current students.
Two representatives from IUPUI, the host institution of the program, explained about the program and the state of Indiana. During the Question and Answer session, the students asked questions such as, the temperature in Indiana, the famous food, the situation of the exchange with local students.
IUPUI and Hakuoh has had an agreement with the partner institution since 2006, and we exchange and accept each student. Indiana states, where IUPUI is located, and Tochigi Prefecture, became sister prefectures in 1999, and a wide range of exchanges have taken place.
Dr. Thomas Upton, IUPUI, explains.
