- -Please be sure to arrive to the designated area 30 minutes before the schedule time.
- -You will be unable to leave once the interview process has begun.
- -You will be informed of the time of the interview on the designated day. You will not be permitted to leave once the interview process has begun, so be sure to bring a lunch with you.
Selection Process:
Applicants will be selected after a thorough review of the following three criteria.
- 1) Written application
- 2) Written Test in Japanese (consisting of a written essay). 100 points / one hour.
- 3) Questions and Interview conducted in Japanese.
Requirements
(1)Students Must Meet the Following Criteria In Order to Be Eligible to Apply
- (1) Students must be of non-Japanese nationality, and be 18 years of age as of March 31st, 2023.
- (2) Students must have completed 12-years of necessary primary education in their home country.
- (3) Students will only be allowed into Japan if they have a willingness to study, and are able to conform to Japan’s “Immigration and Refugee Recognition Act”. Students must also meet the necessary requirements to be eligible to receive a student visa from the Japanese government.
(2) Starting in 2019, it is recommended that all students who wish to study at Hakuoh University take the “Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students” (“EJU”) test. This test is conducted by the Japan Student Services Organization.
Financial Aid
1.Financial Assistance provided by Hakuoh University
Students with a student visa issued by the Japanese government: 50% reduction in class fees
Students with any other visa issued by the Japanese government: 30% reduction in class fees.
Requirements:
- Students must fulfill attendance requirements.
- Students must fulfill school credit requirements.
- Students must complete and hand in all necessary financial aid documents.
- Students must participate in foreign student activities both in and off campus.
- Other requirements.
Students will only be eligible for financial aid if they meet all necessary requirements listed above.
2.Housing Assistance
Each student is eligible for a 15,000 yen monthly housing allowance.
Requirements:
- Apartments are limited to the area surrounding JR Oyama Station and Hakuoh University.
- Applicants must be living alone.
- The name of the person renting the apartment must match the student’s name.
- A valid student visa.
- Applicants must complete and hand in all necessary financial aid documents.
Applicants will only be eligible for housing aid if they meet all necessary requirements listed above.
Application Process
After completing payment on all necessary entrance examination fees, the applicant must submit through express mail all application documents. The applicant is also welcome to personally deliver the application documents directly to Hakuoh University if they happen to be in the vicinity.
