The fourth On-Demand Study Abroad Program has been completed.

There are some students who joined the first, second, and third On-Demand Study Abroad Program and all of students could experience to learn from each other deeply.

This program was created to allow students who were unable to study abroad this year to keep learning English. Elven students of the On-Demand Study Abroad Program, which started in November, have completed the course. In the On-Demand Study Abroad Program, they watched various TED Talk videos and prepared worksheets in advance. Using the worksheets, we had interactive discussions in English in groups of four people. We learned the content in English and held discussions that can be useful for our everyday lives, especially for students who intend to travel abroad. Although studying overseas is impossible right now, all of the students want to keep learning.

11月からスタートしたオンデマンド留学の第四期生10名が修了しました。

第四期の修了生の中には、第一期、第二期、第三期に参加したリピーターもおり、さらに深く学び合う良い経験となりました。

コロナ禍の中でも、学びを継続しようと立ち上げられたオンデマンド留学プログラムでは、事前にTED Talkビデオを視聴し、ワークシートを使用した同時双方向型の英語ディスカッションを行います。４人１チームのグループとなり、英語で内容を学び、日常生活に応用できるディスカッションを通して発言力、思考力を磨きます。海外渡航は制限中ですが、国際交流センターでは、オンラインを活用したプログラムを整備し、学びの機会を提供し続けます。

【修了生のコメント】

・参加して、確実に何かが変わった気がします。一番大きかったのは自信だと思います。誰かが見ている前で英語を使って話すことはとても勇気がいります。最初は発音や文法が変じゃないかな、変な顔してないかな、などと心配であまり目立ちたくなかったのですが、ディスカッションを重ねていくうちにその気持ちはほぼ全てなくなりました。自分をより良い人間に変えてくれたオンデマンド留学には感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。

・楽しく英会話ができればと思って参加しましたが、実際参加してみると楽しいだけでなく、しっかり自分のためになるような内容ばかりで、本当にいい経験になったと心から思います。この４回を通して得たものはとても大きく、自分がこれからどう勉強していくかだけでなく、自分のこれからの進路を考えるヒントにもなったので、今回思い切って参加してよかったなとおもいます！

・I feel that something has definitely changed since I participated. The biggest thing changed was my confidence. It takes a lot of courage to speak in English in front of people. At first, I didn't want to stand out too much because I was worried about whether my pronunciation, grammar, and my face would be weird. However, the more discussions I took, the less these feelings I had. I am very thankful for this On-demand Study Abroad because it makes me think better and positive.

・Actually I just wanted to have fun and learn how to speak English when I started this program. However I realized that it was not only fun, but also very beneficial for me when I actually joined. Through these four sessions, I got huge things which gave me hints on how to study in the future and how to think about my career! I was very glad to join without being nervous!
