For the next generation it is vital to systematically apply this knowledge of human development in a step-by-step manner. The Human Development Department is divided into the four majors of: Early Childhood Educational, Sports and Health Science, the English Education Major, and the Psychology Major.

The Child Education Major

The Child Education Major

Understanding children requires specialized knowledge and techniques, both theoretical and practical. This major focuses on the especially important growth period of 0 to 12 years of age, infancy through elementary school. It is based on the key idea of “education for a healthy mind” which encompasses the psychology, nursery-kindergarten, social welfare, and art specialties. As youngsters mature, their various actions demonstrate clear mental and physical changes which good educators must be sensitive to. Furthermore, modern children are surrounded by a complex and diverse social and family environment that require today's educators to change the content, methodology, and climate of their approaches to successfully respond to each child's potential and ability. Early Childhood Education majors master a balance of holistic and specialized knowledge in small classes to become able to lead and support future learners to become truly fulfilled human beings.

The Health and Sports Science Major

The Health and Sports Science Major
